I have lived here for more than 50 years. In my first year here, I went to a talk called "There is no 'away'". It was sponsored by the local college that specializes in environmental studies and it emphasized that pollution occurs where there is too much of something in one location.
I have a related focus in this post. My emphasis is about there being no "again". The old Greek Heraclitus had a similar point. He said one cannot step into the same river twice. I think he was focused on the fact that the next time I step into the river, the water will not be the water I stepped into at first.
My point is that when I try to do anything again, I am older the second time. I cannot make the movements "again". True, I can make quite similar movements, maybe so close to what I did before that you can't tell the difference. However, being older I may move more slowly. Being in a hurry, I may move more quickly. Being forgetful, I may move differently than before without even knowing that I am differing.
What often happens is that nobody cares about the little differences and for one purpose or another, we say that I did it, whatever, again.
