About nine months before I was born, my mom and dad got me started. I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without them. I am enjoying this existence they provided and I am very grateful to my mother for carrying me and nurturing me and even for sometimes disapproving of me. My mother had her own ideas and about 80% of them became my ideas and guided me well. My mother was of a different gender than I am. I can't blame her for sometimes seeing the world and the best path in life a bit differently than I have.
It only takes a quick thought and I am faced with the fact that my grandmother and grandfather launched that important woman, without whom I wouldn't be. So, thanks, Grandma, for carrying my mother and nurturing her.
I had two parents but four grandparents. I had 8 greatgrandparents and 16 people launched those 8. If you are at all numerically minded, you can see what is happening here.
