These pictures are from the first day on the road.
Everything this day was in the state of Washington.
First, we crossed the Cascade Mountains.
Next is Leavenworth, Washington, a town that was dying until they made it a tourist spot by giving the whole town an Austrian theme.
Dry Falls is a geological feature caused by the collapse of a glacier and the water it held as a dam.
Grand Coulee Dam. The sky was very smoky from distant forest fires, and the sun appeared orange to our eyes, but not to the camera.
The day ended in Spokane, WA at a motel on the Spokane River, a tributary to the Columbia River, a pretty spot.
