When my oldest greatgrandson was only about 4 or 5, he wandered through the house one day. He found something of interest to him. I can't remember what it was but he brought it to us and said,"Look what I found!" To him, it was a discovery but we knew about the object and wanted it to be where he found it.
The other day, people came over to help celebrate our daughter and son-in-law's 40th wedding anniversary. People got drinks. Someone needed a coaster and said so. Our oldest greatgranddaughter got up from her chair, went to our coffee table and opened a drawer in it. It's a drawer we rarely use. She reached in and pulled out some coasters and passed them around.
It's odd when a young lady just entering junior high knows more about what you have and where you have it than you do.
