We just finished "Leaving the Witness" by Amber Scorah. It is extremely well-written. It is indeed about dropping out of Jehovah's Witnesses but it much more than that. It is a privilege to read such a book. If you have read "Educated", you will find this book a marvelous extension of that and at the same time, an exploration of what we all have and are in the world. I know that the author has a TED talk or two and I am eager to watch them.
I have mentioned the Firefox browser's new page service called Pocket before. It takes me a little discipline to stay on track because each new page offers me at the very least a set of headlines that may lead to further good reading. I did get diverted by Pocket to an article by Erika Harlitz-Kern on super-upsetting worry some people experience about climate change. I thought it very intelligently and helpfully put together.

A third piece of good writing today was my friend's email in which she said she would have to sit for a while and clear her head. Basically, sitting for a while and clearing one's head IS meditation, good health, good self care and self respect, and a way to see all of one's emotions and needs and ideas.
