She was not pleased with Roman emperor Constantine
We were driving along listening to a Great Courses tape. The lecturer said the Council of Nicea was having difficulties with its version of the properties of God. Constantine was chairing the group and grew tired of the doctrinal split. As emperor, he ruled for the doctrine of the Trinity. She felt he didn't really know the properties of God and was not suited to rule on what she had to later learn in Lutheran school.
