A friend from out of state visited us today. We had planned on traveling around to the Hidden Studios that were participating. Artists in several media such as painting, pottery and photography open offices, rooms and maybe garages to those who stop by and look at their work. I found, as I have before, that having a friend accompany us improves the quality of the trip around. We each get to articulate things that the other of us knows but that the friend doesn't.
We started about 10 AM and got to several of the sites and home for lunch about 1.

I read that the tennis player from Japan did not attend a post-game session with reporters. She said they always ask about mistakes she made and recalling them is painful. She wasn't in the mood for a re-run of the negative side of what she had just done. Next thing I know, Simone Biles is saying she wasn't in the mood either and then I heard that she is terminating her gymnastics activities. She reported getting the twisties, a type of disorientation that can be dangerous and lead to injuries. I have seen videos of her spinning and twisting and I can imagine getting enough of that stuff.

The magazine This Week is the only publication we get that we covet and go through thoroughly. It has little snippets that get a laugh or a gasp. A woman stabbed her husband after finding pictures of him in bed with a woman. Later, she found out the woman was herself. The Week reported that a banner was flown at a football game with the message:
Don't get vaccinated.
