Slow gentle fast

We are in the midst of the heaviest snow this winter and today is the mid-point of the season.  So, what better time to fast?  We watched Prof. Annie Wetter discuss keto diets this morning.  We had already been into intermittent fasting from a previous time.

Without committing to very little breakfast, very little lunch and a 500 calorie dinner on Mondays and Thursdays, winter and snow plus age can combine with cravings and snacking to lure us into the kitchen repeatedly.  We don't work too hard at being swimming suits models but we want to be healthy and mobile.  We also find that we suddenly feel younger, lither, ever so modern and alert from not eating.  The link above leads to information on the 5:2 diet and the book "The Fast Diet" by Mosley, MD and Spencer. A Kindle download costs $14 but you can get a used paper copy from Amazon mailed to you for 25¢ plus postage.

If you are interested but don't have the book, you might want to try YouTube.
