So, you work long and carefully, each blade of grass painted deliberately.  The bowl went through its first firing and it is looking good!

But, unknown to the potter, a drop of black glaze from another project falls on the edge.  The 2nd firing melts that drop right on, fusing it to the bowl! Damn!
