It can be a mystery

I am curious about what makes the two of us like and follow a particular series of shows on tv. It is about the same puzzle to try to spotlight what makes us stick with a particular book to be read aloud by me.

Our tv current program we have followed the longest is "Candice Renoir" on Acorn which has mostly British tv but Candice is from France.  We depend heavily on captions in English since we aren't very good with French.  We are currently ending our evening tv with "Reba".  As with Reba, I am aware that the length of each program can sometimes influence our watching.  The episodes on Reba are about half an hour long.  Another program that is about that length is "The Bureau of Magical Things", classed as a children's program.  It is about the magical powers of a group of young teens but certainly is not a masterpiece of logic or suspense.

In our evening times of me reading aloud, we have gone back to Tony Hillerman's books about Navajo life, culture and various crimes that get committed on the Navajo reservation.

We don't usually watch habitually something too long, too graphic, too illogical, or too much centered on the physics and anatomy of sex.
