Some Sundays, CNN's Photos of the Week strike me as too negative or too sports-focused. What do you think?

There is beauty in every direction but sometimes, it takes a little focus to see it and appreciate it for what it is.
I am reading "Soul Made Flesh" aloud to Lynn. It is by the science writer Carl Zimmer, author of many science books, including "Planet of Viruses". The Soul book increases my respect for our brains and what they accomplish. A friend told me that she was interested in what her tongue did and decided she was not going to slipshod about what her tongue did. She determined to guide it consciously and deliberately. After painfully biting her tongue many times, she gave up and let it do its thing. Lots goes on in us all the time that we aren't privy to and don't know about or understand.
