Lynn did her master's degree in audio-visual education. Part of her work was studying and making effective slide-tape presentations. A "slide-tape" is a series of slides that are accompanied by an audio tape which has signals embedded to advance the slides. For one of her courses, she researched, wrote, and mechanized "Reasons for Stevens Point". The presentation was composed in 1978, which we are surprised to find was more than forty years ago.
We have used her slide-tape on multiple occasions to highlight the background of our town and its history. Something these days about a place, even a small Wisconsin city, that is 40 years old, naturally no longer applies perfectly to that place today. Despite its age, I feel affection for that slide tape. It has been recopied from one medium to another over the years. A few weeks back, I wanted to put it in a form that could be easily and widely shared. I was pleased but not too surprised to find that various tools and services in Google are able to embed her presentation in Google Drive. I put it there since I have found that storing documents and materials in computer depositories and having searchable powers to find them has been quite useful.
