Fast and efficient

Just a few mornings ago, the outside temperature was in the high teens.  Now it is 80°.  We have experienced warmth before but it is still quite different.  It is important for body comfort and fashion not wear heavy mittens when it is warm.  But change!  Where are my shorts?  Where is my belt to keep them up?  I am used to sweat pants with drawstrings at the waist.  Different underwear to avoid boxers hanging out below my shorts.  It is gauche to wear black socks with shorts so remember to switch to white socks.  Where are my t-shirts?  Sweatshirts will be too hot.

That is just getting dressed.  Lynn negotiated for three years with the local firefighters and their historians to get them to talk online to our learning in retirement group about old ways and new ways of fighting fires.  But after huffing and puffing, they could ONLY talk this morning at 10.  So, ok, we will change our important meeting that always meets at 10:30 and meet just this once at 9.  Oops!  Sent out a link to attend the meeting without changing the content and the link is to a meeting at the standard time, the usual time, the normal time, the time we can always depend on.  Quick!  Send out warnings that the link won't work but when it doesn't work, it is not your fault.  Yes, you are old and no, you are not a computer expert, it is the grammar buried in the code in the link in the email that is incorrect.

By now, some have used the incorrect link and been warmly informed that their meeting will start in just an hour and a half so please wait.  Others have opened the warnings about errors, updated their plans and are trying to inform friends of the change.  Welcome to the modern age of rapid communication.
