I was impressed by seeing Wired magazine's article on too many notifications. I found out a while back that setting a timer for this and a timer for that can result in too many timers. Basically, I am a fan of timers and we have West Bend timers and cubical Datexx timers. I just looked up timers and found this

If you get interested in setting a timer, you open up Google and search for "timer". You will immediately get a good one that can be set for any number of seconds, minutes and hours. Same thing with Bing and DuckDuckGo. I haven't tried searching for and setting a timer with Edge or Opera or Safari but the same possibilities probably exist.
You can open new pages and set a Google or Bing or DuckDuckGo timer on each one. Just think, you could connect timers to each event on your calendar and set a timer for each. Of course, you might need help understanding what is being signaled for each timer. Are the eggs done or is the dryer done? What that timer to call Susie or a reminder to water the plants?
You probably realize from what I have written that your phone, your tablet, that other tablet, both of your computers - they can all be set to remind you of something. Be sure to attach a sticky note to each one so you can know to turn off the stove or pick up your guest on time.
