Developing my new approach to writing memorable fiction

The murderer stepped out of the shadows wearing a dark blue linen jacket and light gray trousers.  The jacket was cashmere and he wore a white broadcloth button-down shirt beneath it topped by a blue and yellow paisley cravat. His shoes were white calfskin with a matching belt. He grabbed Harry around the neck and as he brought his dagger down, Harry managed to say,"Wait!  Is that a blue cashmere jacket?  Where did you get that?"  The murderer explained that he had gotten the jacket on sale in Glassingbrook's just last week. It really had been a marvelous sale: 70% off! Not only that but the sale was still on!  Together, the two men hurried over to Glassingbrook's.
